Permanent makeup is also known as “micropigmentation.” During treatment, I use sterile, single-use needles to implant hypoallergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin (just below the epidermis) to enhance, and sometimes create, my client’s features. Because I place the pigment below the epidermis (which is constantly shedding and renewing itself), once the treatment area has healed (generally one week), the appearance is very soft and natural, because you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin. My approach is extremely conservative; my goal is not to create the appearance of makeup, but simply to enhance my client’s natural beauty.
